We had a very special event staged on Monday 6th December to celebrate the completion of a creative journey Mental Fight Club began whilst still in the midst of lockdown.

This work culminated in a mesmerizing piece of filmed physical theatre which was devised, written, and performed by Mental Fight Club Patrons, facilitated by award winning theatre practitioner Lee Hart and acclaimed filmmaker Alice Cafrae.

The screening of this short film, Bound-Unbound-Boundless, was followed by an opportunity to discuss the work with all contributors in a Q&A panel.

We gathered together at Streatham Space Project, with the help of our lovely caterers and joined for creative workshops

We are excited to announce that Bound, Unbound, Boundless was shown as part of the Portobello Film Festival in 2022. It was shown as part of the Uk Movies inc History of Electric Cinema on Friday 2nd September 2022. Our film was also nominated for the Best Art category at this film festival.

We also had our Dragon Café workshops which included the Singing Group with Vivien Ellis and Ariella & Renzo’s Danceworks during the day

Very generously, acclaimed theatre creator Lee Hart from Voodoo Monkeys Theatre Company kindly led a two hour theatre workshop.

This one-off experience with Award Winning Theatre Practitioner Hart, was an example of how play and games can led to the breaking down of creative barriers, and act as a steppingstone to the creative theatrical process. Together we explored physical embodiment of characters and created a shared gestural language. This workshop was packed with fun, giving a taste of the process Hart has developed over many years and gave some insight into the creative journey undertaken during the creation of the short film being shown in this event.

We then watched and discussed the film created by Mental Fight Club patrons with Lee Hart and Alice Cafrae
